Osun State Governor, Governor Adeleke deflects to the Accord Party ahead of primaries.

Osun state Governor, governor Ademola Adeleke resigned from the people's democratic party (PDP) on the 4th of November 2025 to join the Accord party. Following his resignation, PDP conducted its primaries and now have Adebayo Adedamola as its new candidate.


The Osun state governor tendered his resignation since 4th of November, but it was not seen until the 1st of December 2025. 

Governor Adeleke joined the accord party on the 9th of December ahead of the party's primaries that held on the 10th of December 2025 where Governor Adeleke emerged as the party's flagbearer.

 Following his deflection, Governor Adeleke openly declared how much he loved the Accor Party's philosophy. in his words, he said "Since joining the party, I have been inspired by its philosophy. the    welfare of the people must always be at the heart of leadership. the primary purpose of government is the wellbeing of the people. as governor, i have prioritised the welfare of our people from workers to the entire citizenry. we have implemented programmes and policies to improve their lives from infrastructure to social services. "Today, we unveil a new platform for the people of Osun state. from Osun West to Osun central to Osun East, this is our platform for victory in august 2026. the people stand for continuity and accord is our party for victory next year. in line with the will of our stakeholders and in respect of the wishes of the people of Osun State, I hereby declare for the accord party".

  The Dean's Cup competition is an anticipated football tradition that occurs during the second semester of every session in the prestigious Faculty of Arts.  The session's edition kicked off with the CLA and History departments, and it was accompanied by all the usual excitement and drama that students had been waiting for.
